Guestbook for Johnny Jackson Showing 1 - 15 of 30 entries.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Jackson and Greene family and everyone else that was close to Mr. Jackson. I'm glad I got to meet such a great man and spend time with him. Everytime I was around him he just made me smile. I hope more people could be like him for the world would be a much better place. Thank you Mr. Jackson...may you rest in peace and know that you will always be remembered.

I am thinking of you today and know how very hard it is for you. God will keep you strong and comfort you during this hard time in your life. Remember it is only for a short time.

When we first went to Doris and Johnnys house,we were made to feel like family. Always welcomed and invited to eat and stay a while. When Doris became ill and had to go to the nursing home,Johnny never missed a day to be with her, what kind of love and devotion that was. I only know of a few people in my life that I am sure died and went to heaven, but, without doubt Johnny has gone to be with Doris again. What a glorious day! Thanks for sharing your parents with us.

Uncle Johnny was one of the nicest, kindest men I have ever known. He will be greatly missed, but I know he has reached the goal that we all are striving for. If we were all a little more like Uncle Johnny, this world would be a much better place.

GOD KNOWS THE PERFECT TIME AND PLACE
JUST WHEN MY COURSE IS DONE,
ON COMPLETING ALL HE WANTED
HE CALLED FOR ME TO COME,FOR NOW MY JOURNEY'S DONE.
CELEBRATE MY PASSAGE, SAILED OVER STORMY SEAS
FOR HE HAS KEPT ME THROUGH,
TO LOVE AND CARE FOR ALL THESE MANY YEARS
WEEPING FOR ME MAYBE DUE,BUT BE HAPPY FOR ME TOO.

IT MAY SEEM A WINTER LONG OF PAIN
WHILE I SLIP DOWN INTO THE GROUND,
BUT SPRING HAS BURST FOR ME,
OH HEAR THE ANGELS SOUND,HEAVEN'S WHERE I'M BOUND

MYSPIRIT SAILS NOW FOREVER FREE
OPENED FULL IN EVERLASTING LOVE,
YOU WILL ACHE LONG FOR MY PRESENCE
BUT WITH WINGS OUT FLUNG, I SOAR IN JOYOUS PEACE ABOVE.
DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO MOM AND ALL OF FAMILY

UNCLE JOHNNY, NO WORDS CAN EXPRESS THE MAN YOU WERE. YOUR LAST WORDS TO ME WERE SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE. THAT JESUS WENT TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR US AND IN HIS HOUSE ARE MANY MANSIONS AND THEIR WAS ONE THERE FOR ME AND YOU. HERE AGAIN HE DIDN'T BUT HIS SELF FIRST. NO MATTER WHAT WE DONE IN LIFE OR MISTAKES WE MADE, HE COULD ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT IT. ANY TIME YOU WANTED TO TALK ABOUT THE LORD HE WAS READY & NEVER TURN YOU DOWN. AND YES WE WILL REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES. ALL THE RIDES TO HARLAN IN ONE OF THE OLD CHEV. COULD GO ON & ON AND NEVER SAY IT ALL. LOVE YOU AND AUNT DORIS. YOU BOTH ARE AT REST NOW. LOVE OBIE

May God comfort and wrap His arms around each one of you durning this time of sorrow. It must be a blessing to know that your loved one is in heaven sitting at the feet of Jesus now. No more pain and suffering because he has a new body and a new name. I know he will be missed.Remember all the good times and how the Lord used him in his last days. Praying for you all.

To the world they may have thought he was such a small man but to those who knew him he was a giant.
In my 30+ years in the family I never knew of Uncle Johnny to say a unkind word. He never got in a hurry, he always had time to talk with you or give the little ones a piece of gum.
I remember many times while dating Eddy Clark we would be over at their home and it was nothing to have 15-20 people there. Uncle Johnny would come in from the store with pop and tell ya to stay and eat with them. He never met a stranger and his love did not stop at family but went out to who ever he met.
This world has suffered a great loss but Heaven is so much richer. I'm sure Aunt Doris, Bill and even my mom are having a great time and if they could say one thing it would probably be "wish you were here".
Another soldier has made it home and you will be missed.
Love,
Brenda

To all the family, our hearts and prayers go out to you all in this time of sorrow. It is always hard to say goodbye to those we love but the confidence we can have in knowing that one day we WILL see them again gives us peace. Bro. Jackson was a very humble and sweet man who always had a kind word. "I wonder what their doing in heaven today, sin and sorrow all gone away" We love you all and are praying for you.
